2023 was a great year for fashion and the impact social media has on trends. And menswear is no exception to this phenomenon. Whilst endlessly scrolling through Tik Tok over the Christmas holidays I came across so many interesting takes on fashion and gained some insight on menswear trends and my predictions for 2024.

old money 

Coined the Saltburn Aesthetic; the recent cinema release in December 2023 of this psychological thriller had us fashion junkies in a chokehold, fashion forecasters believe the influence of the film will leave us doing more than just talking about it. Dust off your vintage watches, 2000’s branded polos and linen shirts because ‘Old Money’ will be making a comeback this year.

90’s minimalism

All I'm saying is to think of the fashions around 25 years ago and envision Matt LeBlanc, Brad Pitt, and Johnny Depp. The simple yet put-together monochromatic outfits they used to wear. The abstinence of patterns and dark, neutral colours is the way forward if this style is what you’re looking to achieve.

grandpa style

Cosy, practical and timeless. Grandpa style will see the continuation of popularity with loafers, sweater vests, chunky belts and wide-leg / oversized trousers. A widely loved trend I predict it’s here to stay, yet it never really left us. Knit polos, cardigans and crochet pieces are notable clothing items to pick up to achieve this trend.
