Our year has hit off to an amazing start. This January we received press invites to Copenhagen Fashion Week. A huge thank you to CPHFW, Vain and Rolf Ekroth for the amazing opportunity. Also, a huge thank you to Aleisha Petafi, our wonderful fashion journalist who flew out to the shows. We have her runway reviews and CPHFW content coming your way soon!
Keeping on theme with fashion week, we are happy to announce we received our accreditation from the British Fashion Council and will be attending shows for London Fashion Week this month. Keep your eyes peeled on our socials for some more show highlights and see what we get up to. @ayw_magazine
This month we also have our Female Founder series coming to the website. I have been speaking to some amazing and inspiring female founders over the last few months and I am ecstatic to share their stories and wonderful businesses.
For our last update; we also have a few new writers who have joined our Volunteer Writers Club this month and I look forward to sharing some more great fashion and beauty content your way.

On a more personal note, I had a lovely week struck down with COVID ( which certainly was not on my bingo card for January) but it did give me some spare time scrolling on my laptop.
A dangerous game? Yes, however risky, it did get me thinking about next season. With Spring and Summer not too far away, any purchases I make now, are strictly going to be acquired with the intention of wearing in the new season. And my top editors’ picks this month have certainly been inspired by this notion.
Wishing you all a wonderful month ahead!
EDITORS PICKS
The Frankie Shop
Cotton Shirt/ Blue / £163.00 - BUY
Keeping it simple and making an upgrade to a wardrobe staple. I wore my blue cotton shirt a tonne last spring so I really want to invest this year. This Frankie Shop cotton shirt is a beautiful shade of blue and the perfect relaxed fit. Might add in the matching shorts for an effortless summer set.
Adidas Gazelle
Adidas Originals Gazelle / Pink / Peach / £90.00 - BUY
I Caved and purchased the Adidas x Wales Bonner samba and I’m now hooked. Near every spring outfit I save to my Pinterest board has included these pink Gazelles. A pop of colour to add to your wardrobe to help shift your outfits into spring. Leaning into the Pantone colour of the year - peach fuzz; these pach pair are another tempting option.
Loewe Eyewear
Paula’s Ibiza / square-frame acetate sunglasses / £310.00 - BUY
My daily ‘uniform’ leans more minimalist and next season I want to add a bit of interest to my outfits with my accessories. Eyewear is a place I usually neglect and it’s not an accessory I usually invest in. This pair of sunglasses from Loewe has been on my list for a while now (although now difficult to find in stock) I will be on the hunt. The exaggerated frames and tinted lenses are just dreamy.
