Inspiration For Your Next Nail Appointment

The internet is a treasure trove of talent, and nail artists are high on our admiration list.

Nail art dates back to 5,000 BC when Egyptians gilded nails in gold and henna-tinted fingertips. In India, women used henna to stain their nails, whilst Babylonian men coloured their nails with kohl. Back then it was a symbol of power and wealth.

Now in 2023, nail art is part of self-expression and identity. So next time you are supporting your local artist with a moment of self-care; here are some of our favourite accounts for your next nail appointment. From graphic and colourful, embellished and chrome - to ombre and classic French.

@1.800.nailme

L.A.-based nail artist Caroline always delivers on graphic, colourful and eye-wateringly beautiful designs. Worth following for the unexpected.

@sugamama_nailz

Based in Strasbourg, France their out-of-this-world designs are nothing like you have ever seen. You will need to find a talented local artist to replicate these.

@guirose.nails

Paris-based Guirose Nails does chrome and 3d designs so well, but it's their colourful sets that have my attention. From marble and ombre to bold and delicate designs; each set is a masterpiece.

@_commoninterests

Coming all the way home to the UK, Common Interest is a collective of nail artists based in Birmingham. I am obsessed with their precision and symmetry. Each set is as unique as the last!

@nailsby_eleanor
