Nobody’s Child is a fashion brand bringing beautiful fashion to every woman, everywhere without costing the Earth. Founded in 2015 by Andrew Xeni, with the aim of curating collections derived from ‘recycled and responsibly sourced alternatives’. Alternatives such as linen, certified organic, recycled and cellulosic fibres. The brand, ‘Nobody’s Child’, may ring a bell due to their infamous summer dresses, a wardrobe staple for the sweltering heat of the season.

The brand values focus on size inclusivity, sustainability and manufacturing traceability.

Alongside sustainability, a common issue within the fashion industry came from brands’ rare incorporation of extended size ranges, this became a prominent issue when body positivity campaigns hit our feeds. Following the body positivity movement, it encouraged several brands to open their eyes to the issues surrounding the restrictive sizes their garments obtained.

As great as it was that brands were beginning to cater for a wider range of people, the issue of a sustainable plus size range within the category was sparse. That was until the launch of Nobody’s Child plus size range, which included sizes 18 -24 and the brand mirrored their vintage and modernised flair onto this collection. This offering was a huge step forward, due to the issues surrounding plus size clothing more often than not being unflattering and lacking creativity. Nobody's Child's new range injected feminine prints into their mini dresses and flattering on-trend silhouettes within their midi dress offerings.

Another value of Nobody’s Child is its sustainability and manufacturing traceability. Their sustainability is made prevalent through the measures utilised within their articles of clothing, from ethically sourced and recycled materials to their aim to ‘continually reduce climate impact with science-based targets’

This is achieved through working closely with EcoAct to measure and map out their emissions, helping to create a carbon reduction strategy and targets for them to achieve. Ultimately their manufacturing and traceability value is fulfilled by tracing with a digital product passport alongside their collaboration with 10 suppliers across 13 countries.

Recently, Nobody’s Child has collaborated with the forever fashionable Fearne Cotton. The collection ‘Happy Place’, reflects Cotton’s lifestyle brand, presenting a collection of ‘whimsical floral pieces`. This collaboration offers beautiful dresses featuring a range of patterns and designs, from florals to patchwork prints and feminine detailing, perfect for the summer.
