2024 Trend Predictions

2024 is coming in hot when it comes to fashion, and we have already been presented with many promising trends in sight.
Predicting the future of fashion is no witchcraft. Still, the ability comes from closely watching the “trendsetters”; runway models, influencers and it girls. They gradually introduce us to the pieces we’re about to incorporate into our wardrobes. They are usually the pioneers of what trends become popular.
Once the trends are set, we have our own personal database in our hands. The more popular something becomes the more research increases on that topic and we see it more on social media. That’s how we can predict what the hot topics are.
Designer brands on the runway, off-duty looks spotted on the streets and social media content: these are the criteria we used to help us put together our official Trend Predictions for 2024.
So sit tight and take notes:

Colour
We already know Pantone has stated “Peach Fuzz” to be the colour of 2024. However, I might have a few other colours to add to that list.
First of all, I believe we’re still going to be seeing a lot of Cherry Red this year, maybe not as a protagonist, but as a component of an outfit. This touch of red could go anywhere: shoes, bag, jacket, nails, headpieces.
By the way, I sense headbands and bows are still going to be trending in 2024, so maybe going with cherry red on these would be a plus tip. Still on the topic of colour, as a silver jewellery girly, I am very happy to say I also believe this colour will be a highlight of 2024, especially in accessories. These two were seen in 2023, and it’s safe to say they will be still trending this next year.

fur
In 2023, we’ve seen a gradual increase in interest in fur coats. To me, this screams “rockstar girlfriend aesthetic”: that reckless, effortless, party girl look. On the other hand, with the fashion cycle currently pointing to the 2010 decade, I’d take that risk by adding leopard print to the 2024 trend as well. It’s a bold statement and a timeless fashion symbol.
The catch here is I believe we’ll combine these two trends, so get ready for leopard print fur coats.

slim Pants
The thing about fashion is that it works in contrast. Therefore, if 2023 was the year of baggy pants, I’d guess that in 2024 we are going to be seeing more pants on the slim side. And this one might be a hard pill to swallow, but, once again, in honour of the 2010’s comeback, I’d say that capri pants are going to be returning to the spotlight as well.
