H&M Studio S/S24 Collection

The new H&M Studio S/S24 collection has my attention.

The studio exhibition opened its doors last night during Paris Fashion Week to launch the new collection. In collaboration with the creative agency Ray Atalier. The exhibition is open to the public from 27- 29 of Feb, located at 51 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris. The opening party saw some familiar faces wearing pieces from the new collection; Iris Law, Alexa Chung, Hari Nef and Jill Kortleve to name a few.

The Studio S/S 24 collection hints at a 1970s silhouette, exaggerated collars, flared trousers and flowing dresses. The accessories also deserve an honourable mention. The chalk-white knee boots and the return of the H&M Studio signature padded bag that now comes in a snakeskin print. Concept designer at H&M Studio, Linda Wikell, says;

“This season the design team had a free-spirited creative in mind, on the move and ready for adventure. Looking to 1970s wardrobe codes and infusing them with contemporary cool, we wanted to give the collection a very curated feel, with hero items like a leather coat or a fabulous pair of knee-high boots that you could wear in lots of different combinations,”

The subtle retro use of colours in this collection gives your classic pieces a refresh for the season. In particular; the combination of pale blue and burnt orange caught my eye. Regarding fabrics used in this launch; H&M say this collection emphasises high-quality compositions such as chrome-free leather, premium wool and organic cotton. I will certainly be heading to the store to see this collection up close and personal, and maybe pick up that stripe shirt.
