Yesterday evening, on the opening night of (40 Years of) London Fashion Week, Kanika Goyal Label held its A/W 24 collection presentation.
In a glass maze of 16 outfits, pairs of androgynous models showcased the collection, complementing each other by being positioned face to face.
The statement, the neo-luxury brand puts itself at the face of self-expression, “Freedom of speech is built into the fabric of the brand. Celebrating a non-traditionalist point of view, we intend to deconstruct the rigid perception of tailoring as well as gender stereotypes. We combine elevated construction with elements that authentically define “now” and use humour as a vehicle to communicate our values and ideas.” - KGL
Woven denim pieces offered a fusion of comfort and style with unique textures and patterns, redefining the traditional denim look, An oversized brown pinstripe patch blazer added a contemporary twist to classic tailoring for a refined, yet daring, ensemble paired with complimentary matching brown pinstripe trousers.
Two vibrant, graphic knitwear showcased a clash of various colours and designs. a chic mesh embellished top, intricately adorned with delicate, sparkling details that added a touch of sophistication. A denim jacket paired with trousers, providing a versatile and on-trend denim-on-denim look. Luxuriously fur-lined leather jackets, create a cosy yet fashionable option for the colder seasons.
Outfits were paired with this season's must-have accessories! Luxurious oversized buckle bags, Statement belts with bold designs, incorporating eye-catching buckles able to elevate any ensemble, Caps adorned with the distinctive “KGL” logo and trendsetting logo socks that added a playful touch to the simplistic black footwear.
An unforgettable night, KGL has set the bar for this February's London Fashion Week as we eagerly await what else this multicultural, New Delhi-based brand has in store for us fashion enthusiasts.
